Mozilla Firefox Favourite Manga Berserk all day erry day	As good or better than Spider-Man 2? Haven't seen the movie yet but most reviews I've seen have said it's a pretty good movie but not amazing. Mostly that it has that "Just another MCU movie" feel to it rather than "Epic self contained Spider-Man" movie. At least there's still hope for Spider-Man movies. I'm still holding out hope on seeing the likes of Kraven. It'd be really cool to see Spidey have to deal with an opponent who's technically weaker than him but far more skilled and experienced, especially after Captain America effortlessly toyed with him. Though I'm not sure what Kraven's motivations would be and maybe he wouldn't work as a main villain. Are there any hints to what the next villain could be? I was hearing stuff about the Sinister Six and...please no, don't rush in to that God dammit.

If I do, I'll watch that, and share my thoughts afterwards like I've done before with other movies that arrive much later to certain foreign countries.

Some are more like "eh, it's alright" when it comes to the whole MCU deal of making the same movie with different characters.

Mozilla Firefox Favourite Manga Berserk all day erry day	Well I doubt it's "boring" exactly but I heard there's not a whole lot of actual Spider-Man'ing in the film and that the action is average. The more time passes the more I appreciate the Raimi trilogy, it all felt so much more real and dangerous. The MCU feels too safe 99% of the time. Versus Green Goblin kicking the s*** out of Spider-Man at the end of the first film, every attack had weight in those movies(maybe not the third) I'm glad the villain turned out good anyway the MCU has sucked so hard on that front.

Google Chrome	Yeah, I'd have to agree that the action is a weakness in this one. The dialog is fine, the jokes are good, and the characterization is good, but it really does lack the awesomeness of something like Spider-Man duking it out toe to toe in the Raimi movies or even in the Sony movies. Details on that here. Spoiler: click to toggle So Spider-Man barely throws a punch in this movie. He just uses webbing all day. It's really kind of annoying. Shocker is changed from a badass with shockwave gauntlets, armor, and a good punch to just a guy with normal durability with a big punch. Also, Spider-Man never really fights Vulture. Their first encounter, Vulture picks him up and throws him down. The second is just a trade of webbing and energy gun shots. The fourth has them both distracted by being on a plane. And the fifth encounter has both of them beaten to Hell so they're both fighting super sloppy(Vulture can barely even fly and Spider-Man can't do any acrobatics).

I wish I could say more than that but it was good, decently funny and pretty well characterized all round...but yeah, the action was...kinda meh. Spidey felt a little in danger...sometimes so that was good but otherwise it was like a fun happy adventure most of the time. Vulture was awesome, why has it taken the MCU like 20 movies to have a villain worth a damn? (discounting Thanos since he's not properly been featured yet) He had clear, good motivations for his actions, a decent personality, he wasn't just bad "'cause bad" and while he was smart he wasn't some uber intelligent foe, a fairly regular guy who got f*ed over by the proverbial man. Spoiler: click to toggle The whole plotline with him losing the suit because of his failure was super weak, Stark said it was tough love but it also seemed genuine but...Happy didn't even f*ing listen to him? Wut. They expect a 15 year old to make sound decisions when Tony has created like half the MCU villains by mistake? He and Tony were pretty damn irresponsible and Peter got chewed out for it? Not to mention the complete lack of mentoring. The suit did a better job... That was a super weak end to the fight with Vulture...he just tries to fly off in his incredibly damaged suit? Why did he suddenly get so desperate? Would have made sense if his wife had really aggressive cancer or something(though that's obviously a bit similar to Sandman) he had no reason to suddenly be so stupid and desperate. All in all, the MCU can't make better Spider-Man movies than the Raimi trilogy when it's too confined to it's MCU ways. It's way too safe and simple. TASM was even going better than this imo until they messed up the end to the second movie but it could have recovered. Didn't...like only one guy in this movie die? Confirmed deaths at least. To me the most huge issue in the film is that Spider-Man feels so...small? He's not some big character, he feels like a sidekick in his own movie. I give it an arbitrary 7/10, mostly because it was actually funny and not just constant quips between characters.
